Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Define the core principles of computational thinking and explain their importance to colleagues.
- Use visual programming languages like Scratch to create simple animations and games.
- Understand basic programming concepts such as loops, variables, and conditionals.
- Design engaging “unplugged” (computer-free) activities to teach computational thinking.
- Develop lesson plans that integrate coding and computational thinking into their own subject area.
- Explore introductory text-based programming concepts and their applications.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages experimentation, debugging, and persistence.
Methodology & Assessment
The course will adopt an interactive and participatory methodology, combining theoretical sessions with practical workshops, group discussions, case study analysis, and collaborative activities. Learning will be centered on the participants’ experience and their active involvement. Practical workshops will provide the opportunity to directly experiment with the use of different digital tools and AI-based applications. Assessment will be primarily formative and based on active participation in activities, completion of practical tasks, and reflection on their teaching practices. There will be no formal exams. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences and develop an action plan for the integration of the technologies learned into their professional context. Continuous feedback will be provided to support their learning and professional growth.

Digital teaching materials, tutorials, practical guides, and links to online resources will be provided. Various digital tools and online platforms will be used for practical activities and collaboration.
